Award-winning Chinese-American violinist Xiang Gao is proud to partner with Violins of Hope Phoenix and the Jewish Federation of Phoenix to bring “Shalom, Shanghai!” to the Valley on March 23 and 24.
The performance, which will take place at the Arizona Science Center Planetarium, is a theatrical concert telling true stories of Jewish musician refugees in Shanghai during the Holocaust.
It is among the last opportunities to interact with the Violins of Hope, which tells the remarkable stories of violins played by Jewish musicians during the Holocaust, before they complete their two-month run in Arizona this month.
