Phoenix Parks & Rec cancels Fourth of July fireworks

by The 100 Companies

The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department regretfully announced that its three premiere fireworks events are canceled.

Fabulous Phoenix Fourth, Light Up the Sky at the American Family Fields and After Dark in the Park will no longer take place because of supply chain issues, according to Parks and Recreation Assistant Director Marty Whitfield.

“Unfortunately, much like many other municipalities, Phoenix has been affected by the ongoing supply chain issues. The City’s contractor was unable to secure fireworks for the events,” Whitfield said. “We apologize to our community for the inconvenience.”

Other fireworks celebrations throughout the valley will continue as planned.
