Arizona’s monsoon season has begun and will continue until the end of September. Rainfall during the monsoon can vary a lot over small distances, so it is important for everyone to be aware of the threats for flooding, high winds, dust storms and lightning that come with the monsoon every year.
Also, with the summer comes the heat, which is the deadliest weather hazard in Arizona. People should be heat aware and ready to handle our long, hot, deadly summers.
Make sure to follow your local National Weather Service on Facebook and Twitter to stay informed during this monsoon season.
