While winter temps rarely dip too low here, cold weather preparation is essential. Jordan Benjamin of Done Rite Services – greater Tucson’s premiere HVAC, plumbing and electrical service provider – suggests homeowners add these tasks to their early December to-do lists:
• TEST your heating system and ensure it’s running smoothly.
• INSPECT exposed water pipes for proper insulation.
• REPLACE smoke and carbon monoxide detector batteries (if you didn’t already before Thanksgiving – the No. 1 week for fires in the U.S.).
