As a lifetime auto enthusiast, when I hear “Jaguar” I think big V8s, British heritage and drivers named Nigel who own leather driving gloves.
Absolutely none of those were present in Jaguar’s 30-second rebranding video. Featuring human Teletubbies wandering a Pepto-Bismol-tinted planet, the ad somehow managed to unify both left and right in a quiet, collective head scratching (just days after the election, no less).
I, for one, kinda dig it. “Old Jag” was dying, after all, having sold just 64,241 units in 2023 (compared to Audi’s 1.9 million). So why not try something utterly wacky we’ve never seen before?
