Downtown Tucson is welcoming construction on the new Tucson Convention Center hotel: A DoubleTree by Hilton. The hotel will be connected to the Convention Center and include a rooftop bar, second-story pool, restaurant, coffee bar, 4,000 square feet of meeting space, 170 rooms, four suites and single presidential suite.
The new hotel will be the second hotel to open in downtown Tucson in 42 years, after the recent opening of AC Hotel by Marriott. It’s part of the Downtown Revitalization project, which began five years ago with Sun Link Streetcar.
The hotel is scheduled to open in 2020.
