Jim and Cathy Gray opened Jim Gray’s Petrified Wood Co., originally known as Holbrook Rock Shop, 48 years ago with only a pickup truck and a pile of petrified wood.
Today, Jim Gray’s Petrified Wood Co., still located in Holbrook, has come to be known as the worldwide premier dealer of Arizona Rainbow Petrified Wood and remains a family-owned and operated business. They own the mineral rights to several areas of land near the Petrified Forest National Park, and are proud to do their digging, cutting and polishing that, in return, creates beautifully crafted full rounds, tabletops, bookends and more.
