Two years ago, a business prospect was unable to meet in person and suggested a Zoom meeting. I had never heard of Zoom before. After that first meeting, my publishing company immediately switched our video call provider.
Here are two of the most important lessons I’ve learned after participating in dozens of Zoom calls.
Training: Don’t host until you’ve assured everyone knows how to sign in. Set aside some time to train rookies. There’s nothing more frustrating for everyone than spending your first 15 minutes getting everyone connected.
Lighting: Place a small lamp behind your camera rather than behind yourself.
