Yuma tapped for major manufacturing facility

Rechsand, an international green building materials manufacturer and developer, has chosen Yuma, Arizona, for its new, state-of-the-art manufacturing plant. The facility will mark the company’s first location in North America and will house the production, development and distribution of next-generation engineered sand products.

Rechsand currently operates 15 plants in China, producing numerous green building products, such as the pavers and paving materials used in China’s “sponge city” initiative, a program designed to alleviate urban flooding and capture and retain runoff. Rechsand also produces a sand-based water technology that saves up to 75% of irrigation and fertilizer required for plantation.
