WNBA Coach on Fighting Homelessness in Phoenix

As the country continues to struggle though this public health crisis, I am reminded of the health crises in my own community that have only gotten worse: homelessness and hunger. Normally, I would be preparing my WNBA team for the season, but this year I’m focusing my efforts on supporting those experiencing homelessness through my nonprofit Project Roots AZ.

Through our two community gardens in Phoenix and mobile kitchen service, we feed, supply hygiene items, clothing and shelter to those experiencing homelessness. Support our mission by volunteering at a garden or by finding us at Spaces of Opportunities farmers market.
