Waste Management Phoenix Open raises record $13.2 million

The Thunderbirds, hosts of the Waste Management Phoenix Open Presented by The Ak-Chin Indian Community, raised a record $13.2 million for local charities from proceeds from the 2019 tournament. This is the first time exceeding $13 million in tournament history, breaking 2018’s $12.2 million record and marking the eighth consecutive year breaking the previous year’s record.

Since Waste Management became title sponsor in 2010, The Thunderbirds and the Waste Management Phoenix Open have raised $81 million for local charities. In the tournament’s history, dating back to 1932, the Open has raised over $147 million for local charities.
