Washington Federal assisted thousands during government shutdown

by
Washington Federal

Throughout January, Washington Federal offered a 90-day, interest-free loan to help workers through the shutdown period for an amount equal to the net take home pay for up to six missed paychecks.

The interest-free offer was available to any eligible federal government employee, current customer or not, living within the bank’s eight-state territory. In total, Washington Federal was able to assist on over 1,500 loans, with a third or more coming from Arizona.

The bank was proud to step in and help its hard-working neighbors get through that time and support their financial needs.
