Twenty percent of Globe-Miami residents live in poverty. In an effort to help our neighbors most in need, the United Fund of Globe-Miami, Inc. connects local nonprofits and donors to magnify impact.
Since 1964, employers in Globe-Miami allow employees to donate to United Fund through payroll deductions. Although we have advocated the Fair Share program, it is more difficult for rural areas to fundraise for the community compared to larger cities. Thanks to donations, 30 local nonprofits are funded for 2020, including: Alderman House/Gila Safe Haven domestic violence prevention, Arizona Youth Partnership, Gila Aging Services and Gila County Historical Museum.
