That’s the Rivian R1T. It’s a 7,200-pound pickup truck, with a built-in kitchen, that somehow outruns a 3,000-pound Porsche Carrera GT hypercar to 60. It even handles well, scoring a skidpad average of 0.87g like a sporty hatchback. As a truck, it can tow 10,000 pounds, climb mountains, and comfortably seat 5.
The Ford Raptor has been my favorite truck for a long time – a superb piece of engineering that does everything well. But if early reports are to be believed, there’s a silent new apex predator on the prowl.
