Gov. Doug Ducey has signed an executive order to establish the Institute for Automated Mobility, a public-private partnership that will form a research center and proving ground where companies can vet and improve the safety of self-driving vehicle systems.

Thanks to funding from the Federal Transit Administration, Phoenix has received $6.4 million to replace city buses and upgrade local facilities.

The Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) recently appointed members to a new Citizens Advisory Committee. The 35 members recently met to discuss the continuation of RTA’s plan, which was approved by Pima County voters on May 16, 2006, and is effective through June 30, 2026.

United Express, operated by SkyWest Airlines, will provide commercial air service from Prescott Municipal Airport for a period of two years, starting now. This service will enhance the air travel experience for the Prescott area, and most of north central Arizona.
