So about that fake Tesla fire…

Tesla may be controversial, but I’m rushing to their defense on this one.

Back in August, a Swiss insurance company called AXA posted a video of a yellow Tesla Model S flipping over and catching fire. In a since-redacted release, they claimed the violent crash helped to prove their point that “drivers of more powerful electric vehicles cause damage to either their own or someone else’s vehicle more frequently.”

Whether that’s true or not, the video was 100% fake. AXA admitted to deliberately flipping the car and using pyrotechnics to achieve the desired “wow” moment. Elon is probably lawyering up.
