Scottsdale Progress

Scottsdale’s original newspaper, The Scottsdale Progress, which was founded in 1948 and shuttered in 2009, will resume publication as a Sunday weekly beginning Sept. 16. The newspaper was recently purchased by Times Media Group, which owns nearly two dozen media statewide.

The initial circulation for the new Scottsdale Progress will be 40,000 printed copies every Sunday. Distribution will include home delivery and more than 700 locations where residents can pick up the paper for free. Digital news will be updated around-the-clock on Scottsdale.org. In addition, every Sunday 50,000 free eSubscriptions will be emailed to residents.
