RTA continuation plan

The Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) recently appointed members to a new Citizens Advisory Committee. The 35 members recently met to discuss the continuation of RTA’s plan, which was approved by Pima County voters on May 16, 2006, and is effective through June 30, 2026.

Members of the committee are interested in areas such as roadway capacity, transit, automation, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, road maintenance and the added economic development investments that come with infrastructure improvements.

To date, the RTA has invested more than $1 billion in transportation improvements across the region, and it has completed more than 800 transportation improvements.
