Paying homage to Tucson

by The 100 Companies

In January 2011, Barack Obama – then-president of the United States – touched down in Tucson to deliver a speech at the Together We Thrive: Tucson and America memorial.

His remarks, with themes of healing and national unity, were delivered in the McKale Center on the U of A Campus to honor the 18 victims of a shooting in the metro Tucson neighborhood of Casas Adobes on Jan. 8.

Take pause this Presidents Day – Monday, Feb. 17 – to listen to Obama’s speech, which was viewed by more than 30 million Americans when it was delivered 14 years ago. Together, we remain Tucson Strong.
