Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix turns 15

by The 100 Companies

A musical journey around the globe – in celebration of MIM’s 15th anniversary (that’s one year shy of two octaves) – comes to the Musical Instrument Museum April 4-6.

The three-day event is packed with live performances and curator talks, hands-on experiences and rare instrument demonstrations – including an 11½-foot-tall stringed octobasse and the historic 1859 Robjohn pipe organ.

Highlights include a hip-hop dance performance by Furious Styles Crew on Friday, traditional taiko drumming with Japanese folk music artist Ken Koshio on Saturday and live music by the Phoenix Afrobeat Orchestra on Sunday – all in the museum’s main courtyard.

Music to the ears.
