Monsoon safety tips

by The 100 Companies

In the Grand Canyon State, monsoon season spans the entire summer, from mid-June to late September. Since seasonal storms can move quickly, consider these tips for keeping yourself safe:

Turn around if faced with standing water or flash flooding while driving.

Pull over if caught in a dust storm, which can reduce visibility to zero in seconds.

Seek shelter indoors at the first sound of thunder and remain until the storm passes.

Plan how to communicate with family in the case of a weather emergency.

Prepare an emergency to-go kit with food, water and prescription medication to last 72 hours.
