Lowell Observatory is raising the bar for inspiring people about the wonders of the universe.

Lowell’s new Giovale Open Deck Observatory (GODO), a public telescope observing plaza featuring six advanced telescopes and a suite of sleek educational exhibits, will open on Oct. 5. It represents a major step in, “realizing our vision of being the premier public astronomy destination in the world,” according to observatory Sole Trustee W. Lowell Putnam.

GODO will allow guests to explore the cosmos for themselves, just like Clyde Tombaugh did in 1930 when he discovered Pluto mere steps from the perimeter of this elegant new facility.
