Life as a comedian was not in the cards for me

by The 100 Companies

In school, I thought I was hilarious. “Oh, Mr. Funny Man,” teachers said as they sent me to the principal. For two years after college, I tried being a professional comic.  I performed at every comedy club in California and Arizona.

I’ve never taken drugs, but I experienced a high whenever I killed it on stage. When I bombed, the lights seemed hotter, my sweat glands went crazy and I couldn’t sleep for a day. It was the lowest low.

I opened for Robin Williams, Arsenio Hall and Polly Shore. These days, I just torture my family with dad jokes.
