Arizona Heritage Center hosts Day of the Day celebration to benefit Kids in Focus

by The 100 Companies

To honor the Grand Canyon State’s strong Mexican roots, the Arizona Heritage Center will host a Dia de los Muertos-themed celebration Thursday, Nov. 10 at Papago Park in Tempe.

Noche para los niños will feature live music by Nate Nathan & the MacDaddy-Os, roaming performers (think stilt walkers and contortionists), food and drink from prominent Valley restaurants, photographs by program participants and a silent auction –all to benefit  Kids in Focus.

This festive event nods to the Mexican holiday honoring loved ones who have died with sweet, joyful remembrances like calaveras y pan de los muertos (sugar skulls and sweet bread).
