In a time of discord, soccer brings people together

I never saw or played in a soccer game until I was in my 40s. The first time I was on the pitch and the whistle blew, my heart began racing. It’s hardly slowed since. I not only love this sport, I think it can heal America’s wounds.

Where else can a family of four buy game tickets for less than $50, leave their screens home and join others outside, cheering, chanting and singing for their favorite teams. The new season for FC Tucson starts in three weeks.
