This MLK Day, pay homage to the past and present – via local and national jazz greats – at the FREE Downtown Jazz Fiesta, in and around Corbett’s (340 N. 6th Ave.).
Sponsored by the Tucson Jazz Festival, this year’s festivities will feature non-stop music on a pair of outdoor stages beginning at 11 a.m. and continuing into the evening.
Direct from New Orleans, the New Breed Brass Band (led by Jenard Andrews, nephew of Tucson-favorite Trombone Shorty) will headline the event with a sound that is joyful, vital and distinctly of the moment – music for and by NOLA’s next generation.
