Cinco de Mayo in PHX

by Sally Schroder

This year’s Cinco de Mayo Phoenix Festival (Arizona’s largest!) unfurls downtown – on the main stage at Fifth Avenue and Washington Street – on Sunday, May 4. Celebrate 32 years of culture, tradition and family with fun for all from 12-10 p.m.

Arrive early for Lucha libre, Baile Folklórico and authentic dishes from the city’s top food trucks and underground kitchens.

Stick around for loads of live music from local and national bands. Openers include Arizona’s own Znora and Prime Society followed by headliners GQ (of 1979’s “Disco Nights” aka Rock Freak fame) and three-time Grammy-winning Los Lobos.

$5 off admission before 5.
