On Jan. 24, Avondale Mayor Kenn Weise was joined by WESTMARC President Sintra Hoffman, former Congressman Lorenzo Sierra and other Arizona civic and business leaders at a VIP reception to celebrate the opening of Avalon Apartment Homes. The property, located at 2005 N 103rd Ave., is the first multifamily complex to open in Avondale in 10 years.

The $80 million, 400-unit luxury apartment home complex broke ground in August 2017 and is, to date, 50 percent occupied. Avalon is owned and managed by Heers Management, which specializes in West Valley development and boasts five other communities in the area.

Inland Empire Builders served as the general contractor, and Eric Miller Architects served as the architect on the project in partnership with Heers. Congressman Sierra and the City of Avondale planning department, including director Tracy Stevens and senior planner Rick Williams, were also integral to the project.

The development features one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments ranging from 700 to nearly 1,200 square feet. Unique amenities include: a 2,500-square-foot state-of-the-art fitness center with outdoor CrossFit training station; resort-style pool with cabanas; lush landscaping; pet experiences, including two pet parks on property; and a social pavilion with barbecues and a fire pit.

Avalon Apartment Homes are ideally located right off the I-10 and Loop 101 – not to mention just minutes from State Farm Stadium and the Westgate Entertainment District as well as theaters, shopping and several grocery options.
