Three Arizona professors – Victor J. Hruby and Hong Hua from the University of Arizona and John C. H. Spence from Arizona State University – have earned the 2019 National Academy of Inventors (NAI) Fellow designation.

The status is only given to prolific academic innovators across the world who have demonstrated a spirit of innovation in creating or facilitating outstanding inventions that have made a tangible impact on quality of life, economic development and the welfare of society. The trio, along with 165 others, will be honored at the Ninth Annual Meeting of the National Academy of Inventors in Phoenix on April 8.
