2nd Persian Festival

In Celebration of the first day of spring and new beginnings, Nowruz (Persian New Year) will be celebrated at the second annual Persian New Year Festival a 501(c)(3) public charity, on Saturday, March 7, at the Scottsdale Waterfront. The festival will feature multiple local vendors for food and shopping, free tea as well as many dancers and artists. A portion of the proceeds raised from this event will go towards the Ivy Brain Tumor Center at the Barrow Neurological Institute.

“The celebration of Persian culture during this new year is important to our history and community. We are honored to have the opportunity to bring together people from all backgrounds to spend some time being joyous about this change of season,” said Shojaee founder of the festival.

WHO: The Persian New Year Festival has partnered with the Arizona Persian Cultural Center to host this event, giving the community the opportunity to celebrate the arrival of spring and therefore the new year through Persian traditions.

WHAT: The second annual Persian New Year Festival is a one-day event sponsored by The City of Scottsdale celebrating Persian culture, food, music, dance, theater, art and sense of community. Vendors will provide both culinary and shopping opportunities for guests.

WHEN: Saturday, March 7, 2020, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
