Responses to the 2020 Census are on track as over 60% of U.S. households have responded to the 2020 Census, with approximately four out of every five households that responded on their own choosing to do so online amid COVID-19.
Current internet self-response rates are 9.2 percentage points above initial Census Bureau projections. The 2020 Census will determine congressional representation, provide data that will impact communities for the next decade and inform hundreds of billions of dollars in federal funding each year to over 100 programs in the areas of housing, education, transportation, employment, health care and public policy.
